Marta Mª Castellote Armero

PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR). Research Scientist of the CSIC, she is the Responsible Researcher of the research group “Sustainable Interaction of Construction Materials with the Environment (ISCMA)” of the CSIC. In her more than 25 years of research experience, she has focused her activity on research lines related to photocatalysis in construction, decontamination of materials for reuse (circular economy), indoor environment quality: emission processes and photocatalytic remediation and durability of cement-based materials.

She has published more than 150 articles, is co-inventor in 6 patents and has presented more than 180 contributions to international congresses. She is coordinator of the “CONEXIÓN fotocatálisis (OASIS) of CSIC and has been PI of 3 international projects, 15 national projects and 35 research contracts with companies. She has been director of 9 Doctoral Theses.

She is representative of CSIC in national and international organizations of recognized prestige within the field of construction and its materials, such as PTEC or ENBRI and in terms of research management, she was director of CSIC-IETcc (2014-2018).
