JOSÉ E. RAMÓN

PhD in Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (UPV), with Cum Laude mention and International recognition, and having obtained a predoctoral FPU grant.

He has more than 10 years of research experience in lines related to the durability and service Life assessment of reinforced concrete structures and the development and implementation of corrosion diagnostic techniques and monitoring sensors in reinforced concrete.

During the years 2013-2019 he was part of the corrosion group of the UPV, and since 2019 his research work is developed at the Instituto de Ciencias de la Construcción Eduardo Torroja (CSIC-IETcc) belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). Dr. Ramón is the link between the UPV and the CSIC-IETcc, both institutions currently collaborating in different projects for the development and improvement of structural health monitoring methods and strategies.

Currently, he has 12 articles in indexed journals and 23 international conferences, in addition to several national and international research projects and contracts with companies. In addition, he is co-inventor of 2 corrosion sensors patented, licensed and in commercial exploitation.
